Welcome to Settle Timebank!

Timebanking recognizes that everyone has a skill, knowledge, support or help to share. Our community is full of people with an amazing mix of skills and knowledge that you may not be aware of. It’s free to join and all you have to do is share a skill that you have and spend a bit of time helping someone else.

Everyone’s time and skills are valued equally. If you give an hour, you can get an hour back in help and support from another Timebank member.

It’s really flexible and you can give as much or as little time as you like. No cash is involved it only ‘costs’ your time.


There are lots of reasons to become involved with Settle Timebank:

Here are some of the common offers and requests (exchanges), though some of these are, as you would expect, dependent upon current Government Covid-19 guidelines:

  •  NEW ACTIVITIES.
  • Mondays; Pop by at The Quakers Gardens and Kitchen in Settle, For some yummy food and social time. The Food Connectors Project Where you can come and learn simple cooking and baking skills. We offer small group cooking and making sessions, or Cooking and shopping tips, pop in have a cuppa and chat with Emma. Also your welcome for a Safe Social distance lunch and chat with others. RUNS WEEKLY!
  • Monday Every Monday at our HUB ALLOTMENT! Yeah! 10 am to 12-noon Meet Pat at Plot 11B Cammock Lane Allotment, Settle. Or Ring/Texy Pat 074 68 30 5212. We would love helpers, planting and light weeding, some watering, eager to learn and be part of our allotment community mindful Space. We will be running some Mindfulness and Gardening workshops.

  • Tuesdays in Victoria Hall Gardens, Settle; 10 am to 12noon IT help, mobile phone, Tablets, Ipads, laptops etc. Join with easy self-help IT guide mini-course, 'learn my Way' with 1:1 support from Settel Hub and Settle Age Uk staff. one-off pop in to help with a computer or internet advice. Call by have a cuppa and a chat.
  • Thursdays; As usual we have Our Munchers lunch at Quakers garden kitchen. 10 am to 2 pm. Drop-in chat, support and lots of tea and cake. 12 noon onwards we will be serving a social distanced light lunch. 
  • Thursday every other week. MINDFUL WALKING GROUP, WITH CAROL. Check with Settle Hub for the week it is running. Local, in interesting and beautiful mini, walks for all abilities. Community lunches (Munchers) take place on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. Run by Timebankers anyone can come along for a cuppa, to help prepare lunch and enjoy eating together.
