Lambeth Town Hall Time Bank

The Lambeth Staff Volunteer Time Bank is an exciting new initiative bringing together Lambeth Civic Centre staff and the Lambeth forum networks.

Staff members have 21 paid hours a year to volunteer in their community.  Happily many already do, however in a time bank, participants earn 'time credits' for giving their time.  One hour's volunteering = one time credit.

All time credits earned by participating staff will go into a community pot for local organisations to draw from when they need support.   So 21 hours becomes 42 - twice the benefit!

For example Steve from the Accounts team spends all his 21 hours volunteering at the Brixton Windmill including helping at the Beer and Bread festival. He decides he wants to continue volunteering and does this in his own time.  His 21 time credits are used by a local food bank to get admin help.  Join in to hear more of Steve’s story...
