Learn what Mindfulness is about, how it can elevate happiness and how to apply it in daily life. The meditation I teach is the Unified Mindfulness, developed through 50 years of study and research. It is based on Shinzen Young's work as a meditation teacher and neuroscience consultant. Shinzen Young's techniques and their benefits have been researched at Harvard Medical School and Carnegie Mellon. He is the author of 'Natural Pain Relief: How to Soothe and Dissolve Physical Pain with Mindfulness' and 'The Science of Enlightenment.

However, not everyone has the digital skills to be able to access these services, or the know-how to use a digital device, which is resulting in increased social isolation and disparities in healthcare, education, job opportunities, and access to essential goods and services. While we fully embrace the incredible technological advancements that make life easier, healthier, more efficient, and more enjoyable for most of us, it's important to recognise that not everyone is keeping pace. That’s why we need Digital Champions—to ensure no one gets left behind! Therefore South Derbyshire CVS Volunteer Force is currently seeking to recruit a team of voluntary Digital Champions in South Derbyshire to help tackle the growing divide. Our new volunteers will initially help us to deliver sessions, in community settings around South Derbyshire, to: (1) Develop foundation-level digital skills and build confidence in using devices to access online services every day. (2) Learn how to use the NHS Health APP and how to search for further information on managing health concerns or conditions using the internet.
